Healthy Eating at School and at Home
Eating well is important to the health of children and parents. Here are some ways to begin:
- Label reading: reduce your intake of high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, artificial preservatives, and food coloring. The shorter the ingredient list, the better it is for you and your children.
- Portion size: don’t super-size it.
- Eat a variety of food: explore the food pyramid and be sure to get foods for each category.
